Owner/Professor Prinzi
I graduated from St. Peters High School in 1985. I then went on to graduate from The College of Staten Island in 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with the highest honors. After my graduation, I joined the renowned firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP as an audit professional in the financial services business unit, where I specialized in Audit and consulting for international broker-dealers and retail companies. As a senior accountant, I made the decision to branch out and developed my own private practice, founding the partnership of Prinzi & Tapinis in 2001.
I earned my certification as a Certified Public Accountant in July 1995 and proudly hold memberships in both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. During my tenure, I had the privilege of serving as the president of its Staten Island chapter. In 2005, I streamlined my business entities into what is now known as Integrated Financial Services, Inc (“IFS”). Alongside my three partners, two of whom are also CSI alumni, and our 12 dedicated employees, we oversee a practice that offers a wide range of services including tax, accounting, financial planning, forensic accounting, and various consulting services tailored for individuals and small businesses. IFS has presence across Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, and we’re proud to serve over 4,000 clients annually.
Currently, I manage my own private practice and provide CEO services to multiple Accounting and Tax firms such as F-Sharp Tax Management, Actors Taxes, Professional Tax Alliance, and Limelight Production Management Services. My practice has a national footprint with offices in not just New York but also Las Vegas and Los Angeles, primarily catering to self-employed professionals in the entertainment and creative industries.
I’ve always believed in giving back to the community. Over the years, I’ve offered my skills pro-bono for various not-for-profit organizations and political campaign funds. I’ve held leadership positions like president and treasurer for the South Shore Kiwanis Club and served as past president of the College of Staten Island Alumni Association. Having been a board member since 1995 and an officer from 1998, I’m currently the Treasurer of the College of Staten Island Foundation. My efforts were recognized in 2003 when I was awarded the President’s award for community service.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I also had the honor of being an adjunct professor in the business department at the College of Staten Island before my recent retirement.
I’ve always been passionate about community service. As a key figure in South Shore Kiwanis, I’ve led fundraising events and volunteered my time for numerous charitable causes such as Kids Against Cancer, Learning for Life (Disabled Boy Scouts), 911 Families Fund, Katrina Relief, Sandy Relief, Meals on Wheels, and various holiday food drives. On a personal note, I’ve been an integral part of the Notre Dame Academy community, where I’ve coached basketball and soccer on and off for the past two decades.
